Community Fun Day for a Local Autism Centre!

Irabina Family Fun Day

Location: Melbourne Experience Centre - 672 Warrigal Road Oakleigh South

Date: Saturday 17th March 2012

Time: 10am – 2pm

This weekend we will be hosting a community Fun Day at our Melbourne Experience Centre to celebrate our association with Irabina Childhood Autism Services.

The Face Fiction Crew will be there from 10 - 2 to dazzle the kids with face painting and balloon twisting!

No two people with an Autism Spectrum Disorder are exactly alike but what is certain is that all children LOVE to jump! Repetitive movement is a frequent and calming motion for many children with ASD, and jumping is a natural, healthy action, which can be beneficial to children’s mental and physical development.

Irabina is a local specialist early childhood intervention service that provides family centred programs from the time of diagnosis to school entry for children and their families who are challenged by Autism Spectrum Disorder.http://www.irabina.com/

We are hosting a fun day specifically for them, their families and the broader community to help raise money and have a good family fun day!

Planned Activities:

  • Gold Coin Donation at the door PLUS a raffle draw (to help raise funds for Irabina with some fantastic prizes!)
  • Balloon Twisting presentations
  • Balloon twisting and Face painting for all of the kids (and kids alike :) )
  • Interactive Story telling on blankets and rugs
  • Giveaways from Springfree™ Trampoline (Tattoo’s, balloons, stickers)
  • BBQ and drinks
  • As well as lots of Jumping on the World’s Safest Trampoline – 6 models available!

Australian Women's Weekly Product of the Year Award

The Australian Women’s Weekly Magazine has always been a part of my life. My grandma read it, my mum read it and now I will have a flick through on a plane or while I’m waiting in the doctors surgery.

That’s why I was stoked when Springfree™ Trampoline was selected as a Product of the Year finalist in their annual awards!

If you missed it, flick to page 159 in the most recent edition. There you will see our new 077 Oval model looking mighty fine.

We are nominated in the home and outdoor category against some pretty cool brands and household items but I think Springfree™ Trampoline has you covered ;)

We would love your support in voting for us. All you have to do is go to this page or send back the nomination form found in your magazine.

Keep your fingers and toes crossed for us xx

Springfree Trampoline: A Cameo on AMERICAN IDOL?

Springfree Trampoline made a brief “blink and you’ll miss it” cameo on American Idol this week! No, we didn’t have to sing in front of Randy, J. Lo and Steven Tyler but we were the trampoline of choice for 15-year-old contestant, Eben Franckewitz.

Jumping on the Springfree is one of Eben’s favourite activities to do around his home.

Watch Eben hanging out with his friends on his Springfree Trampoline:

Springfree Trampoline: Featured on THE DOCTORS!

This week, Springfree Trampoline made an appearance on The Doctors, a CBS medical talk show.

Our R79 Medium Round 10 ft trampoline was set up outside The Doctors studio in California, where Dr. Jim Sears – the show’s resident pediatrician – jumped on the world’s safest trampoline!

If you missed our appearance, click to watch Dr. Sears jumping on a Springfree Trampoline while explaining trampoline safety rules. He’s one talented multi-tasker!

Dr. Sears raves about the cool features of the Springfree Trampoline, including our trampoline frame underneath the jumping surface and the soft trampoline net that keeps you from falling off. He concludes that Springfree is a “much, much safer trampoline”.

Trampoline safety is an important issue as 100,000 kids in North America are sent to hospitals every year from trampoline injuries.

Dr. Sears and Dr. Travis Stork shared some important trampoline rules for safe jumping:

  • One jumper at a time: Multiple jumpers increase the risk of injury from collision. Statistics show that with more than one jumper at a time, the smaller jumpers are almost always the one sustaining an injury.
  • Recommended for children older than 6: All jumpers should be in full control of their body movements.
  • Parent supervision at all times: Parents, your trampoline is not a babysitter! Ensure that there is a responsible adult supervising the jumper.

What safety rules do you follow to ensure safe jumping in your backyard?
